Cash converts into big earnings
CASH Converters, the franchised and online retail network, has banked a record net profit for its latest half year.
The company, which has two outlets in Edinburgh, reported a profit of £3.42 million, marking a 68.4 per cent jump on last year’s result.
Chairman Reg Webb said the "strong" interim showing left it well placed to deliver a fullyear profit of around £7m.
Cash Converters, which was launched originally in Australia, said its UK business "has continued the improved performance shown in recent years".
Its 128 UK outlets posted a profit of £222,319, a rise of 110 per cent on the previous year.
"This is a very pleasing result with a stronger secondhalf performance expected," said Mr Webb.
