It's full steam for growth at Hornby in UK
TOYMAKER Hornby has said it experienced "significant growth" in the UK in the three months leading up to Christmas.
It also forecast that sales in the first three months of this year will be above strong levels recorded last year.
The company, famed for its model train sets and Scalextric car racing circuits, said it had continued to be "extremely resilient" despite the economic uncertainty.
But it also admitted that sales increased at a slightly slower level than expected.
Chairman Neil Johnson said: "We have continued to make very good progress in building a broadlybased hobby business across Europe"
